LIAR'S CLUB -Drop Dead (release date 1994)
This pop band featured Scott McPherson (Tiny Volcano), Jayson Jarmon, Kevo X. Thompson and John Vangen.
"Drop Dead" is easily the best of the three cd's released by Liar's Club over the seven years they recorded, and the album received critical aclaim from pop fans and publications over the globe. This cd boasts an eclectic boom of high octane power pop to quirky -yet smart love songs. Songs like "Cinnamon Smiles" and "My Heroin(e)" were right at home on many college radio stations. For fans of the late great "Jellyfish" -- well, "you will love this cd!" --trust me!

LIAR'S CLUB - Evolution #9 (release date 1992)
Many strong pop songs on this one, though a prelude to the more colorful and ambitious "Drop Dead". This cd offers a solid "acoustic and electric" vibe, as Liar's Club was trying to go more"Drums & Wires" without the use of keyboards and other instruments (other than the four food groups). Still, the record holds it own quite well ...and it spawned several college radio hits.

LIAR'S CLUB - Headful of Stars (release date 1990)
This sophmore effort put Liar's Club on the map for the pop journey to follow. Pretty much a learning lesson in the way of "how to write and produce pop songs", the funny thing is -the song "Espresso Girl" was a major radio hit! Right out of the gun ...this tune took hold of major Seattle/Washington radio stations to become the anthem for all Starbucks coffee drinkers in the state! Much like the final cd "Drop Dead", this cd is as equally eclectic and colorful with that of swirling keyboard arrangments and 3 part vocal harmonies everywhere.

1. The Big Idea

3. Espresso Girl

HASTE s/t (release date 1997)
The Haste project was mainly that of Seattle songwriter "Lenny Cimino". Lenny and Scott (Tiny Volcano) decided to record Lenny's brilliant songs together and have fun in the process. I really like this cd ...and I believe Lenny to be one of the best song writers on the planet. He has been compared to Neil Finn, Elvis Costello and of course Crowded House. I remember seeing Neil Finn in concert a few years ago, and also remember a guy in the front row holding a sign up that read "Neil may I sing with YOU?". Well ... Neil was kind enough to offer this guy a chance to join him on stage and sing a song with him, and of course that guy was Lenny Cimino! Lenny chose the tune "Weather With You" -to sing with Neil, (probably because of the tight nature and design of the song-in the way of intimate harmonies) and SING THEY DID! As soon as the first verse started you could feel magic, it was really "that cool". Neil even stoped singing at one point to look and Lenny and say "Wow, Lenny can sing". I think he even out did Tim on this one, very great moment. - Scott
